Living its mission
Vericom’s SoundCare on hold communications solution became an integral part of Feather River Hospital’s communications in 2005, by offering the Adventist hospital an additional means of meeting its needs as a faith-based institution. “Vericom offered us sacred music on the weekends without messages, so we could respect the Sabbath, and the response was overwhelmingly positive,” says Maureen Wisener, Director of Marketing & Volunteers and Executive Director, Foundation. “Our employees, doctors, and community know we don’t just ‘talk’ mission but ‘live’ it. Vericom’s ability to provide for our unique needs through innovation and creativity has been invaluable to us.” |
Tracking results
SoundCare proactively provides information about programs and events callers inquire about frequently. This service reduces the amount of time staff members must spend on the phones answering the same questions over and over. SoundCare’s ability to educate audiences has brought praise from the CEO and staff, who appreciate having an effective communications tool that delivers results.
SoundCare also creates a greater awareness for programs, events, and services. It leads callers to take action, providing results that Feather River Hospital can track. Recently, marketing ran a message about their rehab department’s “Balance Master System.” “SoundCare increased awareness of this system considerably,” says Wisener. “As a result, we tripled the number of appointments made each month from calls due to SoundCare.”
Another event that benefitted from SoundCare was Feather River Hospital’s holiday concert to raise money for its hospice program. “We received dozens of inquiries and know SoundCare definitely drove people to buy tickets, since we did not promote the concert through any other marketing media,” says Toby Palmer, Marketing Coordinator.
